What's new in Pro Evolution Soccer 2019

Like every year, the football game developed by Konami arrives full of new features to try to compete to be the best soccer video game of the year, which we can summarize as follows:

• Licenses: Pro comes along with the official license for 12 major competitions which include the French Ligue 1 and Ligue 2, the Danish Superligaen, the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, the Portuguese Primeira Liga, the Scottish Premiership, the Swiss Raiffeisen Super League, the Argentinian Primera División, and the Russian Premier League. That doesn't mean that we can't play the Spanish, English or Italian leagues. Simply that the game doesn't have the full licenses for these tournaments although it does have licenses for many of their teams such as Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, AC Milan or Inter Milan. In this sense, we've got some bad news for the fans of this game, after 10 years, Konami and UEFA haven't renewed their agreement and, therefore, PES no longer has a license to operate the Champions League, Europa League, and European Supercup.
• Graphics and playability: just like they've been doing so since PES 2014, for this new edition Konami has once again used the Fox Engine that has been so accurate in the past especially when it comes to recreating the facial traits and tattoos of the players (mainly licensed players) although it's not so brilliant when it comes to stadiums and light effects. In this sense, all animations have been improved, now available in 4K HDR. In terms of playability, many other aspects have also been improved, especially shots on goal (which also incorporate new animations) and players have been provided with new skills.
• New myClub: the online manager mode for PES has undergone a complete overhaul, mainly in the way we buy players, train them and manage them to be able to build a powerful squad capable of standing up to our rivals. These new features include changes to player prices, to how we train them, to the number of player slots per user, the possibility of having duplicate footballers, a section of featured players that have had top performances over the weekend, and the introduction of legendary players such as Beckham, Maradona, Cruyff, Nedved, Gullit, Maldini or Kahn.
