The story talks about Meera who's a kind hearted, soft spoken woman hailing from a Brahmin family. She nurtures good qualities and good manners towards people. Meera works as a nurse at a hospital in Chennai. Her family finds a groom for her. She goes to her home town for the engagement and on her way back to Chennai with the dreams of marriage life, she happens to encounter an abandoned child. Without knowing the whereabouts of the child's mother or its family, she takes the child to his home. Her family reacts harshly when they come to know that Meera is now with a child at the time of her marriage. They ask her to abandon the child again for which Meera doesn't obey. Her family disowns her for her disobedience. But Meera stands firmly in not abandoning the child. She takes it up to the level of deciding to take up the role of the mother for the child. Meera finds a new life with her new child in the new city. Will she be able to get back to her parents or whether she could find love in her life is what forms the rest of the serial's story plot.
The serial is directed by Kavitha Bharathi. Martin takes care of the cinematography while Hari Krishna scores the music for the serial.
